When it comes to weather, you can always make some type of an analogy.
In the case of today's storm system, we have already felt the impact of the warm front and the cold front. Next up - the upper part of the storm system that will keep us locked in unsettled weather.
The upper part of the storm system is a cold core of low pressure. The warm front, cold front and various "slices" of dry and moist air will be swirling around the storm system as it hovers in the Great Lakes.
We had the cold front today, but the slice of dry air (known as the dry slot) will be over northern Ohio tomorrow. That means that although we will be cooler and breezy, the dry air will allow for some sunshine.
Then, the next slice of moist air associated with the colder air aloft in the storm system will move in for Friday night and Saturday.
When you take a look at it from afar (and apply a little imagination) this storm does indeed end up looking like a jellyroll with the various slices swirling around.
The good news is the whole system moves out Saturday night and we'll be having a beautiful Sunday.

Friday: Clouds and sun with a chance for some scattered showers. Breezy. Upper 50s
Saturday: Mostly cloudy with scattered rain. Low/mid 50s
Sunday: Mostly sunny. Low/mid 60s
Monday: Mostly sunny. Low 70s!
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with a chance for rain later. Low 70s
Wednesday: Variable clouds. Slight rain chance. Low 70s
Thursday: Partly sunny with scattered rain chances. Low 70s
