Cleveland Weather: Quiet Christmas Day

MERRY CHRISTMAS from all of us in the Channel 3 Weather Center!!

Christmas Eve evening will have some light snow showers just to put you into the mood.  They will taper off after Midnight.  Low: 28.  Wind: NW 10-15 mph.

CHRISTMAS DAY will start out with a cloudy morning while the presents are being opened up, by by the time you head out in the afternoon for dinner with family & friends, will see some Sunshine.  It will be seasonable.  High: 35.  Wind: North 10-15 mph.

Christmas evening will find increasing cloudiness, breezy & Chilly.  Low: 28.  Wind: NE-E 15-20 mph.

WINTER STORM WATCH for all of Northern Ohio from 7 am Wednesday through 7 am Thursday.

Wednesday, a major storm moves up from the Gulf coast bringing us heavy snow & gusty winds that will cause reduced visibilities, blowing & drifting snow.  4"-8" accumulation will be common for all areas.  High: 32.  Wind: East 20-30, gusts-40 mph.

Snowy, Windy & Cold Wednesday night.  Additional 2"-4" of Snow.  Low: 26.  Wind: NE 20-30, gusts-40 mph.

Snow continues on Thursday before tapering off from west to east.  High: 31.

A chance to catch our breath & dig out on Friday.  Partly Sunny & Cold.  High: 30.

A Cold Front brings Saturday snow showers.  High: 32.

Cloudy, windy & cold Sunday with scattered light snow showers.  High: 29.

Monday, the last day of 2012, will Mostly Cloudy,  Breezy & Cold with light snow showers.  High: 27.
