MENTOR -- Ever wonder how people are successful at online dating? A Cleveland-based dating coach gives us some insight.

The Mentor Public Library held a "How to Find Love Online" program, Wednesday night.

Cleveland-based dating coach Elana Averbach gives some insight into the world of dating online. She founded the company KickStartLove where she coaches clients in Cleveland and all over the world.

Among the tips are picking the right profile picture and figuring out how to send that first message.

Elana's six red flags to look for when dating online:

- User has no profile picture

- User is not willing to meet in person after four exchanges

- Negativity

- Rigid criteria for a match

- Asks for money

- User wants to date out of their age range

A special program at the Mentor Public Library drew about two dozen relationship seekers.

Many say dating online has its pluses and minuses. The men and women were looking for ways to sift through the millions of other dating website users, and find the right company and mate for them.
