CLEVELAND -- For the first time since his drunk driving arrest, Cleveland City Councilman Zack Reed faced a crowd of his constituents Tuesday.
"I want to apologize to each and every one of you," Reed told the crowd.
Reed made the statement during his State of the Ward speech at an east side church.
Along with the apology, Reed called the video of his arrest earlier this month inaccurate. Some of his constituents disagreed.
"The fact that he didn't pass those tests; well if it were me? Where would I be?" asked Ward 2 resident Tiah Herd.
"It was heartfelt and I appreciate that he took the time to say I'm sorry," another resident said.
Reed's arrest was his third for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He pleaded not guilty and will be back in court April 12.
