Akron: Boil alert removed two days after water main break

AKRON -- The precautionary boil water advisory that was issued on for Akron water customers in Fairlawn and Copley has been canceled.

Officials say testing on the water has been completed and came back clean.

The boil alert was put into effect on April 11th following a water main break.

Repairs continue at the site of a massive break that flooded an Akron neighborhood.

The city says the repairs on the massive water pipe should be completed by the end of the weekend. But there is concern that the ground surrounding the site may not be stable.
