Police officer responds to Trayvon Martin targets

PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. -- A police officer has been fired from his job in Port Canaveral, Florida after an incident at a target range.   

Officials say the officer brought target posters depicting an image of Trayvon Martin, the 17-year-old who was shot to death by a neighborhood watch volunteer in Florida last year.    

Later, Sergeant Ron King reportedly apologized to the Martin family in a YouTube video and said he created the poster as a way of getting officers to think before firing too quickly.
