Akron firefighter falls through floor, keeps fighting fire

AKRON, Ohio -- An Akron firefighter fell through the floor inside a burning house, but got right back up and kept fighting the fire early Monday morning.

The fire was on Kryder Avenue, reported around 12:40 a.m.

Investigators believe it was an electrical fire that smoldered and caught both floors of the two-story home on fire.

While working on the second floor, a firefighter slipped and fell through the floor, crews at the scene said.

He was not injured in the fall. He got right back up and went back to work battling the flames.

Nobody was home at the time of the fire.
