Stark County | Alert issued for missing teen

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- An alert was issued for a missing teen Wednesday night.

Jackson Township Police said Emma Newland 14, was last seen walking by a pond near her home and entering some woods.

Police identified the area as High Mill Avenue NW in Massillon, near Fulton Drive NW and Revere Avenue NW.

Newland is white, about five feet four inches tall, 110 pounds, with brown hair and blues eyes.

She was last seen wearing grey sweatpants and peach-colored flip flops. Her family said she has never gone missing before and she didn't take any personal items.

They are concerned for her safety.
