Cleveland: SWAT standoff ends, suspected shooter not in house

CLEVELAND -- A police standoff on Cleveland's west side Monday night ended when SWAT enterted the house and did not find anyone inside the home.

Cleveland Police SWAT responded Monday night to the 3300 block of Walton Avenue, where a man had barricaded himself in his home after allegedly shooting his neighbor.

Police received a call at 9:30 p.m. reporting a male shot at that location.

Once on scene, police were told that the man shot his neighbor and ran into his home and would not come out.

The victim was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.

Police took five young men into custody for questioning. It is not clear where the suspected shooter is.
