CLEVELAND -- Councilman Zack Reed's drunk driving trial continues Monday morning as defense attorneys plan to call their first witness to the stand.

The prosecution presented and wrapped its case Friday.

Reed was arrested last March at the intersection of East 9th Street and Rockwell Avenue after he police say he ran a red light and made an illegal turn.

Reed claims officers smelled Listerine, not alcohol on his breath.

He refused to take a breath test.

Reed was previously convicted of driving under the influence in 2005 and 2008.
