CLEVELAND -- A Cleveland inventor is competing to get her invention onto Wal-Mart shelves.
Theresa Nita, 27, is part of Wal-mart's "Get On The Shelf" competition.
Her invention -- "The Table Shade" -- creates shade for your drinks and phone anywhere you go.
The solar-powered invention also keeps phones charged.
Nita used a number of local resources to launch her invention, including two local companies, Kocher Micro and Frisson Media.
Hundreds of individuals and businesses are competing in the online competition to get their products featured on Walmart.com.
The public can vote on the product they most want to buy.
