Paving work closes portion of East 9th starting Monday

CLEVELAND -- A stretch of East 9th Street will be closed for nearly a week as part of a paving project downtown.

The Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works says that beginning at 6 a.m. Monday, August 12, East 9th will be closed to thru traffic from Euclid Avenue to Prospect Avenue.

The closure will last through Saturday, August 17.

Traffic will be detoured via Euclid Avenue, East 14th Street, and Prospect Avenue. Local access to adjacent properties will be maintained.

Due to heavy traffic volume, delays are expected and commuters are asked to plan accordingly.
