CLEVELAND -- SWAT team members were called to an east side home where a man was believed to be barricaded inside.

Police responded to the area of East 113th Street and Miles Avenue just after 1:00 p.m. Sunday where a man allegedly assaulted a woman. That's when he barricaded himself inside the home along with a woman and children.

The woman and children have since been released and were not harmed.

Police SWAT members waited setup in positions around the home for several hours. After making entry and searching the home, the suspect wasn't there.

Police have not been able to determine if the man is armed.

Streets in the area were shut down during the incident but have since reopened.
