Our entire community and country extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of United States Army Specialist Angel Lopez. We bow low to honor his memory, his patriotic service to our country, and the ultimate sacrifice of his life for us and our liberty and security.
No words can fully express the sorrow that is felt individually and collectively at this sad news. Of what we can be certain is that Specialist Lopez distinguished his life through his selfless service to our nation. He lived by the words duty, honor, country. Generations to come will benefit from the precious sacrifice he made for all of us. May God bless his family and give them strength to carry forward in his memory. And may the angels take his soul and carry it to a peaceful resting place he so dutifully earned.
