High pressure cleared the skies for northern Ohio today.
Those same clear skies may allow for some fog to form overnight. We are in a tricky spot as far as the fog is concerned, since areas west of us dealt with very dense fog this morning. So, what is west will move east... but, wind will be the deciding factor for our fog. We are expecting a southerly breeze to develop overnight which should keep the fog from getting crazy. If, however, those breezes don't come in as expected (which happens), then dense fog is possible. I'll be keeping an eye on this tonight.
What is left of the fog will mix out Thanksgiving morning and we'll be enjoying sunshine once again. Highs are expected in the upper 50s to low 60s.
Then Friday...
A strong cold front will sweep through the area late Friday morning. That means rain is likely with gusty wind and temps in the upper 40s to start. Once that front goes through the mercury starts to drop and the rain will change over to lake effect snow for later Friday into Saturday. Some areas in the snowbelt could be measuring snow this weekend!
High pressure comes back to us on Sunday, which means more sunshine, but the temperatures will still be chilly. If you are going to Browns Stadium, you had better pack on the layers and bust out the long johns.
Monday into Tuesday and Wednesday we'll be feeling the effects of a storm system that will bring us rain and then snow. Still working on the details for that one, but stay tuned.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
