Canton: Roof collapses at Stark County BOE

CANTON -- Parts of the roof at the Stark County Board of Elections have collapsed, causing the building to remain closed until further notice.

Canton fire officials told Channel 3 News that when the storms moved in it, is believed that water pooled in one of the drains, causing the roof to collapse.

There were people in other parts of the building when the accident happened and they were evacuated safely. 

No injuries were reported. Officials with the Canton Fire Department and the Stark County Sheriff's office currently remain on scene.
