BRIMFIELD --  Chief David Oliver, the police chief behind the famous Brimfield Police Department Facebook page, announced he's writing a book.

In a Facebook post Tuesday night, Chief Oliver said "I am pleased and very humbled to announce we signed a book contract with Gray and Company Publishing, from Cleveland, Ohio. We have had several conversations with David Gray, the president of the company and I was impressed with both his character and honesty."

The book will be titled "No Mopes Allowed."

According the Chief, the book is scheduled to be released on September 21, 2013, which is the day of the Brimfest parade.

All proceeds from book sales will go to The Chief Oliver Foundation, a foundation created to fund programs within the Brimfield Police Department, and to help juvenile victims of sexual assault.

According to Chief Oliver, more information on the foundation is coming soon.

The chief also said thank you to all the Facebook fans and supporters.

He said "A HUGE thanks to all of you. HUGE thanks. You have given Mrs. Chief and I a very unique way to serve and give back to a profession that is our life."
